It's done ... the giant oak is pottet ...

Als Erstes sei nochmal daran erinnert ;-) Die Eiche hat eine Höhe von 82 cm und einen Stammdurchmesser von 21 cm ;-) einfach schön ;-)
At first remember !!! this oak has a hight of above 82 cm and the diameter of the trunk is 21 cm ...impressiv !!! ;-)

Mit einer feinen Pinzette wurden die noch zwischen den oberflächlichen Eichenwurzeln befindlichen Graswurzeln vorsichtig entfernt. Dabei wurde nicht ein Wasserstrahl verwendet, damit die um die Wurzeln assozierte Mycorrhiza und Bodenflora/fauna nicht unnötigerweise abgetragen wird. Nach erster Schau scheinen genügend Wurzel vorhanden zu sein um einer Rekonvaleszenz mit frohen Augen entgegen blicken zu können ;-).

With a fine tweezer the grass roots - still located between the superficial oak roots - were removed carefully. Besides, a jet of water was not used, so that around the roots assoziated mycorrhiza and ground flora / fauna is not unnecessary outworn. After the first look it seems that there are enough roots available to be able to await a convalescence with glad eyes;-).

Beeindruckend ist die bereits deutliche Rindenstruktur einer alten Eiche und deren Farbe ...

Die Seitenwurzeln stehen recht ungünstig und sperrig zur Seite und für ein später schön entwickeltes Nebari sollte vorgebeugt werden ...
The side roots are growing rather unfavorable and unwieldy aside and for a later nicely developed Nebari they should be bent in a better Postion ...

Mit Rindenschutzmatten wurden die Wurzeln vorsichtig gegeneinander verspannt und in eine für ein später besseres Nebari ausgerichtete Position gezogen. Man sieht auf der unten stehenden Aufnahme schön die beim Ausgraben abgetrennte Pfahlwurzel die nicht zusätzlich mit wundverschließenden Mitteln bestrichen wurde ... das macht der Baum allein ... man hätte vielleicht ein Wurzelhormon auftragen können ... aber das hab ich mir erspart ... er wird es auch ohne schaffen und im Schnittbereich neue Wurzeln bilden können.

Als Pflanzgefäß wurde ein großer Maurerkübel umfunktioniert. Die nötige Pflanztiefe konnte dadurch eingestellt werden; sie betrug hier mindestens - vom obersten Ansatz der Wurzeln bis zur Pfahlwurzelschnittstelle 15 cm. Die Seitenteile wurden mit einer Stichsäge auf 25 cm Pflanzhöhe ausgeschnitten und können so als Transporthilfe genutzt werden. Das schwarze Plastikmaterial unterstützt die Wärmeabsorption und somit das Wurzelwachstum.

As a Pot a big bricklayer's tub was converted. The necessary deeps of planting could be predestined; she amounted here at least - from the uppermost beginning of the roots up to the tap root interface 15 cm. The side parts of the briglayers tub were cut out with a sting saw on a planting deeps of 25 cm and so it can be used in addition as a transport help. The black plastic material supports the warms absorption and therefore the root growth.

Als Bodenauflage wurde ein Lavagranulat verwendet - als Erdmischung ein Gemisch aus Akadama, Lavagranulat und Humusbestandteilen ...Im seitlichen Bereich kann man unterhalb des ersten unteren Astteiles augelegtes Moos erkennen ... dies war nötig um erosive Effekte zu vermindern, da direkt unterhalb feine Haarwurzeln entspringen die für die Versorgung unverzichtbar sind...

As a ground edition a lava granulate material was used - the soilmixture from Akadama, Lava granulate material and Humus components... In the lateral area one can see - below the first lower branch part - added moss... this is for decrease erosive effects, here - directly below - fine hair roots arise and they are inalienable for the support of the lower branches.

Die Pflanzpostion des Baumes wurde durch eine flächige Verspannung gesichert um die Rindenstruktur nicht unnötig zu beschädigen.

The Position of the tree was protected by a flat spanning not to damage the bark structure needlessly.

Ein kräftiges Einschlämmen und oftmaliges Klopfen gegen die Topfwände gewährleistet, dass sich keine Luftkammern in der Bodenstruktur bilden ...
A powerfull mudding and often beating against the pot walls guarantees that no aerial chambers are formed in the soil structure...

So ... und nun wird ein warmer und sonniger Standort gesucht damit dieser in seinen Anlagen und seinem Aufbau recht interessanter Baum in gesundem Austreiben und Wachstum sein Leben als Bonsai starten kann ... All Fingers are crossed ;-)

ok ... and now i am looking for a warm and sunny location that this tree - with his arrangements and his construction - becomes a rather interesting one with healthy sprouting and growth and his life as a bonsai can start... all fingers are crossed ;-)
