A new yamadori Thuja plicata - Western Red Cedar

These Thuja stood, according to statement of the owner, for approx. 20 years in a sandstone trough on the edge of a street. Often I have driven past it and then I made the decision simply to ask the owner... The owner was fast persuaded because... "such an old small tree, nevertheless, not substantially looks fine and she wanted to plant a little bit new and small in the trough " - anyhow , ... Yes now ;-) then I agreed on an appointment with her and for small money to the procurement of a new, small tree was these old Thuja fast replantet and it found the way in my collection as a Praebonsai. It is plantet in lava with Sphagnum at the critical places, the amount of the foliage strongly reduced, the branches easily pulled for it that all places got light and now the Thuja can collect strength. I think it has a great potential and will become in some years certainly a great one - if it survives... what I assume actually ;-)

Acer palmatum disectum viridis atropupureum ...

Puhhh... what a name and maybe one would still have to extend him because in the tree two trees are combined... concerns an Acer (... palmatum disectum viridis atropupureum on an Acer Palmatum was grafted because cuttings take root very badly and a cleft gravting is more time-saving in the gardening culture and gets more rapid). Well anyway, for many years now two trees already grow in One and make a very unusual picture. The Acer palmatum, it concerns a branch of the gravtwood, also went much later to autumn. I have it for approx. 25 years in my collection.

Another kind of Yamadori ...

In big towns it is usual to bring the garden rubbish and the tree cut to a central collective places namely in autumn and in spring. I was accidental yesterday on such a central collective place and was surprised which plants was decontaminate by the people... Between big excavators and bicycle loaders, always pushed together occasionally the greens to a gigantic mountain, I found in the shortest time these Yamadori ... a Buxus sempervirens, a Picea glauka, a Juniperus chinensis and a Budleija. Partly these plants were already cuttet back already by the owners probably while digging out already , (e.g., Buxus) and Budleija, some I have strongly pruned the trees because the roots already lay longer time drily. Hence, I have also watered all trees for some hours and then planted in Lavaearth and Sphagnum. We'll see what will happen... an attempt it is worth a try anyway.

Little correction of the pinusconjunction

So, now the weather was better and then I made a few more changes. Upper Jin more in the middle pulled... a branch from the back pulled forward etc.... Now the tree will rest up to the spring ... maybe still form some roots and next spring I will completely form him. Then it needs certainly still some years that everything looks out even better ;-)

Conjunction of a Pinus sylvestris

These Pinus I had never liked so properly with her inclination and her trunkcourse. A Yamadoripinus, which has not survived unfortunately, offered to connect both with each other and create therefore a new arrangement. I never saw a so-called "marriage" with a pine still before ... we will see hat kind of development during the next years the pinus will take. Unfortunately, the image quality is bad...cause it rained all the time ; - (
